Daily 12-07-09 The Wedding at Cana

John 1:29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  (This represents what Jesus did at the Cross).

31And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel (his chosen), therefore am I come baptizing with water. 36And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! (He was our sacafice for sins).

John 2:1 And the third day (3rd day represents the resurrection day; that is what makes Jesus different.  He rose from the grave on the 3rd day) there was a marriage (marriage represents what happens to us when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, or the new birth.  We are woke up from the dead.  We rose up with him, but was awaken at our appointed time to be joined with him) in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.  3And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.  4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come (the hour Jesus was in reference to was the day he would died and rose from the grave. His time had not come). 5His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.  6And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.  7Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.  8And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.  9When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,  10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. (n the beginning God created Adam which was not the best.  The best wine came seond or last that would be Jesus.  He is who we are joined up with in the marriage.  This is representation of what God did in the beginning. 11This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Verse 2:11 said this was the beginning of Miracles.  This is the first miracles we see as a born again believer.  We are Baptized in the Holy Spirit and THEN WE BELIEVE.

Here it is in the scripture.  This was the FIRST mircle recorded and this is the first miracle we experience with God.  We experience the miracle of Jesus joining up to  us and then we believe.  We become one with him.  Two becoming one.

This is an awesome parable and so much more than I have talked about, but this is good to meditate on.
